Parkland House

Parkland House is a long established home located on the western outskirts of Exeter.  The home has an excellent reputation, and was the only EMI registered home in Exeter to achieve the 3 star ‘Excellent’ quality rating from the Care Quality Commission, the industry regulator.

Parkland House is registered to care for 52 residents in private rooms and one double room.  The home has a continuous programme of refurbishment to maintain its outstanding appeal.  It has quality décor throughout and is renowned for its modern facilities, in particular its state of the art assisted bathrooms.  The home has a wide choice of communal rooms.  These include a quiet lounge with its own patio, TV lounge, additional lounge, conservatory and a choice of dining rooms.  The home has its own extensive grounds with lawns, mature shrubs, patios which are accessible by residents with wheel chairs, a walk lined with bird feeders and a quiet inner courtyard.

Parkland House has a very busy social activity programme.  The programme is constantly under review with regular feedback from the residents committee.  As a specialist home in providing care for residents with dementia particular emphasis is placed on reminiscing and developing an in depth understanding of our residents including their past history so that we can create a better quality of life for them.

Whilst Parkland House is not a nursing home its manager is a qualified nurse who has continued building the excellent working relationships with health care professionals.
