Our Staff

At Peninsula Care Homes we believe that every one of our staff plays a key role in providing outstanding care. We want our staff to perform to their best and are proud to have been accredited with “Investors in people” status since 2004. Managing Director, Louise Arnold also won the Venus Devon Award for Employer of the Year in 2015.Our staff are kind and compassionate and often go the extra mile to provide residents with excellent, high quality care. Staff are passionate about supporting residents based on their individual needs and strive to maintain the best possible quality of life in a home from home environment.
We provide a wide range of training delivered in-house or using outside providers. Some staff have completed the David Sheard, Dementia Care Matters “Culture change in Dementia Care” year long course. Many of the ideas along with evidence from Stirling University, have been incorporated into our homes. Staff also recently experienced the Virtual Dementia Tour, which provided an excellent insight into what living with dementia may be like. In addition, staff complete training in moving & handling, food safety, safeguarding, fire safety, diabetes and wound care to name a few. Our staff all complete Peninsula’s care certificate induction which is based on Skills for Care recommended induction.
