Alzheimer’s Society Memory Walk Success
On Saturday 8th October Peninsula Care Home staff joined thousands of people warming up for this year’s Alzheimer’s Society Memory Walk.
Starting in front of the War Memorial on Plymouth Hoe with a Zumba warm up we then commenced our walk of just under 10km.
We raised a total £185 for the Alzheimer’s Society campaign ‘walk for a world without dementia’.
The Alzheimer’s Society say £100 raised would pay for a person with dementia to enjoy ten “singing for the brain” sessions to boost their confidence. Alternatively £100 could pay for genetic tests for 16 people in a clinical trial.
Thank you to everyone who donated and helped raise awareness for this great cause.
We look forward to returning next year!
